Getting the most of your crafty time

So glad to have you stop by! Today I am sharing with you the results of my all day pop-up virtual crop yesterday! 

Every hour on the hour, I have my group of crafty friends a list of items that had to be on a layout. Then I have them an hour to complete it. Having starting points for your pages is a time saver, and a GREAT stash buster. 

All of my layouts were made using scraps from the Hillside cottage collection, and You are enough collection. Check out my workshops for each of those here and here. 

Let's see what we did:

9am challenge: 1stripe at least 1 inch wide.

10am challenge: a Scalloped border

11am challenge: A large Circle 

12pm challenge: striped paper.

1pm challenge: A banner. 

2pm challenge: Break the layout into thirds. 

3pm challenge: shapes to make a border 

4pm challenge: 3 shades of a color family

So glad to have you stop by! Sprummer is happening where I am right now. You know, when spring is one day and summer is the next and so on... sprummer. Hillside cottage definitely fits the bill for that type of season. This paper collection is designed in a way that captures the Gardner,  A New adventure,  or perhaps a new beginning! 

I'd love to show just what I have done with Hillside Cottage:

Layout one:

This fun collection was paired with the moments with you stamp + Thin cut set. You can see this used in different ways on each layout. 

Layout 2:

Check out those beautiful leaf die cuts. These cuts are scattered throughout the collection in clusters similar to those on layout 2.

Layout 3

My personal favorite of the 3 double layout sets... have you seen the Hillside wooden shapes yet? You can spot some of the flowers here in layout 3. Perfect accent. 

Cover layout:

How adorable to start an album filled with your favorite collections of pictures and a story to tie them all together. ❤

My kits are are perfect for the beginner scrapbooker, yet detailed enough for the advanced scrapbooker to build on.

All the kits are precut,  however of you are responsible for the stamping. This means you'll need a sentiment stamp set "moments with you" or one like it to complete your kit.

H2H technique challenge: Sponging

Hello Friends!

This week the H2H design team is back with another challenge, sponging. Check out my artwork below and be sure to link up your sponging artwork all month long on the main H2H blog page. 

So many variations to sponging. You can sponge the edges for a distress look, you can sponge over a stencil, a heat embossed image... just about endless the possibilities. I created 5 different cards using some variation of sponging with distress oxide inks. Check out my inspiration pieces and then be sure to upload yours to the main H2H sponging post.
