Kit contents: 8 colonial white card bases 8 colonial white envelopes Precut cardstock, B&T duo papers, black shimmer trim, and whisper extra thick twine. Sequins, gems, and thin cuts of the butterflies, (big and small), dragonflies, and lady bugs.

JCB Blog Hop: Dreamin Big

Welcome to the JCB Monthly Blog Hop! This Month we are focusing on Dreamin Big Paper Collection. There are 2 participants in this hop. This is the beginning of the Hop - so you're on the right track!

I focused on layouts with the Dreamin Big Paper collection. I have completed for this Hop, 6 pages or 3 layouts - I have TONS of paper left.

Adventure Layout: The bugs are so stinking cute in this paper collection. I love how they are gender neutral - the added flip flaps allow for bonus photos! If you are like me where you print ALL your pictures instead of just the "good" ones these come in handy!

The Bonus PML cards sure do fill the caption void and just really give your page a nice punch. I like how this one is sort of hidden with in the flip flaps. 

Explore Layout: This is a very simple and sweet layout. Adding some compliments, like the flowers, bugs, and file tags really helped give this layout some personality. My favorite thing to do with layouts is to create a design, and then repeat for the coordinating page by flipping it. Takes the guess work out of page number 2, and makes for a speedy layout. 

Love Life Layout: This has to be one of my favorite layouts. I used the Dreamin Big Thin cut bundle to cut and stamp out the butterfly accents on the right side and the three little blue bugs on the lower left side. You can see a close-up of these below. 

I had every intention of using the Flip Flaps on this page also - I can always add them later which I may just do.

Twist & Pop - Hello Lovely

Twist & Pop Card

If you are anywhere near Pinterest, then you have seen the Twist & Pop[ cards all over. This "looks" super hard! So I stayed away! I like simple and fun, nothing that makes my brain think to much...hehe. 

But I stumbled upon a tutorial on YouTube by Obsessed with Scrapbooking - and said Holy Moly this is super easy, what have I been waiting for? 

So here is my last installment of the Hello Lovely cards. Wow that went far...Hello Lovely Thank you Kit, The Hello Lovely Spring Kit, and lots of flowers for my home decor piece, and now this lovely card!

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Marker Madness

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Marker Madness

Welcome to this month's Technique Blog Hop where we are featuring artwork creations that incorporates "Marker Madness". I am sure we will see some fun ideas that are different from the ordinary papercrafting projects.

I had fun creating and coloring with our ShinHan Markers. I was inspired to make this card from a water coloring technique found on Pinterest.

By blending from light to dark I was able to create this cute back ground.

Next die cut some dragon flies out, in an offset manner to capture the various colors.

The dragon flies were stamped in Whisper Ink, and dusted with the clear shimmer brush to give them some adorable glitter accents....although it was not easily captured in any of the photos.

 The die cuts were adhered with 3D foam tape to a embossed white 5x7 card stock. 

The sentiment was stamped in black ink and adhered to two strips of cardstock. 

 No need to throw out the negative, because it will become a cute card too!

Using the negative as a template, lightly outline the cut out with a pencil. Then remove the negative and use the outline as a guide for stamping. 

Color in your dragon flies, using the same colors that were used for the background. Remove the pencil mark with a white eraser..

(white erasers will not leave that pink residue behind, that some standard pencil erasers will)

Stamp your details such as the flying motion, and sentiment, then  add 3D foam tape to the back of the negative and carefully placed it over the stamped images. 

 Here are the finished cards - Marker Madness at it's best!

• Whisper ink
• Black ink
