Make It Monday - Ornate Blossoms!

Hello Monday!

How many cups of coffee are your Mondays'? Mine have to be close to a pot or two! J/K, well maybe not entirely.

I am apart of the wonderful Just Crazy Blessed Team, under Susan Williams! When she released her Florence Card workshop I was just over the moon with the not only the amount of cards (28 - I will get into that later) but the beauty of the layouts of these cards!

Here is her workshop photo:

I got super busy really fast and sat down to make these! I couldn't make them SAME! Oh my goodness! So instead of using the Bunch of Love Stamp set and Thin Cuts....I flipped the switch and used my Ornate Blossoms Stamp set and Thin Cuts.

Susan used the wonderful Shin-Han Markers on her Cards...not mimic her work completely...I decided that I was gong to emboss my blossoms in Gold embossing powder! I took our edge distressing tool and completely made these shabby chic by distressing each piece of paper before adhering it down!
When all said and done I used HALF of the Florence paper packet and was able to make 28 cards! SUPER COOL Right! Hmm the question to ask is, do I make 28 more cards (YES YES YES) or Layouts (YES YES YES) the debacle I am in! hehehe.

Here are my results!

How Stinkin' Cute are these Shabby Chic cards?!?!

I gave each of my thin cuts a little attention by adding 3D Foam tape pieces to each one.
Sequins from the Florence Collection helped these add the right amount of bling. My Sentiments are the 'Short and Sweet" A size stamp set. They were the perfect size for these cards.

Coolest thing ever happen, as I am gearing up for my blog post to show you how excited I was about embossing again... I found this AWESOME video on Close to My Hearts Instagram Account!
Check it out, because it shows you how they took embossing the Ornate Blossoms even further than I did!

Isn't this AWESOME!?!?!?!

Everything ABC's Blog Hop - Letter Q!

Hello Crafty Peeps and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter Q. This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. I am going to show you a quilting method, sometimes call the Herringbone!

If you came from "Wendy Kessler" then you're on the right track!

This card focus on the herringbone quilt pattern using the beautiful poppy card stock, black card stock , white daisy card stock and the now retired La Vie En Rose paper collection, and black epoxy dots.
The sentiment is stamped in hollyhock ink, then the wish portion of the stamp was inked partially in cranberry to create and Ombre effect.

Your next stop on our Everything ABC'S blog Hop is " Darlys Recker" of "Crafty Happy"
In case you get lost along the way…go to Catherine Nowak  for a complete list of participants!

Whimsy Fundamentals

This Week there are 5 of us highlighting the 'Whimsy Fundamentals' Paper collection. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want, just use the arrows below to navigate though the hop!
Whimsy Birthday card
First off, I am so ecstatic that we now have RIBBON! I pleated my ribbon by using a Xyron Sticker maker and Memory Book Glue Dots. I created a banner under my pleat, with whimsy B&T papers, and White Shimmer Trim. The micro-tip scissors came in handy when creating the dove-tail, especially on the sticky shimmer trim :). I colored pieces of the white shimmer trim with my Shin-Han marker to tie back in my 'pixie' baseline color. The Picture makes the color appear darker than it actually is...the more you add the darker it will appear...so a quick swipe is all you'll need when matching the pixie color. The Birthday Sparkles stamp set was used the for Birthday sentiment. To finish off my card, a doodle was added to the border of the card, using the Marvy® Uchida® LePen™ Journaling Pen.

Just Crazy Blessed Team Blog Hop - Adventure Fundamentals

Welcome to our NEW JCB Weekly Blog Hop!

This week there are four of us highlighting the "Adventure Fundamentals”
This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this theme, by clicking the next or previous buttons at the end of this post. If you are coming from Tonya's Blog, you are on the right track!

I am so excited to finally show you all the new products! The Adventure fundamentals have a new color line, with the exception of Lagoon and Pacific hanging around. This week I focused on tying in the old with the new using the Adventure fundamental compliments.

I found this to be perfect for layouts - because I have so many options for titles. Such as 'Life is Good', as it covers so many spectrum's of life. This page will be used for a scrapbook I am working on for a co-workers new baby grandson!

Did you notice the shimmer on 'Life is Good' and some of the sticker hearts?!?! I created this look with the new 'Shimmer Brush - Clear' Adds just the right amount of Shimmer - don't ya think?

Supply List:

Lagoon card stock
Kraft Paper
Shimmer Brush - Clear
