Stamping on Scrapbook Layouts - let me show you how!

It's a great way to jazz up any page, and placement is key. Too much and it's a distraction, too little and what's the point?

This layout was C.A.S.E'd right from the Close to My Heart current idea book for the November Stamp of the month.  - You can scroll to the bottom and watch this layout come to life!

The difference is I used the grateful heart paper collection, and alphabet stamp set simply said.

Now to check out the trees! Each one stamped so nicely, with the exception of my palm tree. I rushed when putting the stamp on, creating a bubble and thus, there is one spot that the ink did not transfer....did you see it before I pointed it out?

Merry Trimmings of Christmas - Day 8 & 9

Well I am back with more cards, and if you have been following along, you know the stamping is all from the Merry Trimmings stamp set.

It's been a few weeks since my last post, I battled one of the worst sinus infections of my life, then my little's seemed to become ill one right after another. With 4 of them, this felt like we would all remain ill for months. With that, lets move along to the cute cards I have for you all today.

Card# 1 Stack of presents.

This card took no time at all.

The base layer is Gold foil cardstock, cut at 4.25*5.5 topped with fern cardstock cut at 4*5.25 (if I were to create this again, i'd pick a different layer color - it blends in with the gold to much) The present were stamped in sugar plum ink (Color of the year) as one solid 3*5.5 piece. This piece was then cut down into three presents. and trimmed with Black Glitter cardstock at .5*2.75, .5*2.5, & .5*2 

The tag is stamped in black exclusive ink in Merry Christmas (mini stamp). Finish off the presents, black gold ribbon was wrapped around and then a bow tied on top!

Super cute right!? Okay now on to Day 9!

This card was something I had in my head for while to make. I was so happy that it turned out exactly how I pictured it would!

The out line of the snowman was created with three thincut basic circles. small, med and large. The top hat is simple, just a 1.25 x 1.25 square, with a silver of a piece to create the brim! Same for the scarf, just used some small scraps, rounded the edges and boom. To finish off the snowman, I add three gold pearl dots.

Merry Trimmings 12 days of Christmas Cards - Card 7

Using the Merry Trimmings stamp set from CTMH (Close to My Heart) I have created a cute winter night background. The card will be finished off with a sentiment heat embossed on vellum.

I love how easy the CTMH inks blend! Look how wonderful they look finished! My first trial card, I embossed the edges in silver extra fine embossing powder by Ranger. As you can see here.

For the live tutorial, I used Gold foil paper instead. In the end, I loved both, with a preference to the silver embossed edges, what do you think?

Merry Trimmings 12 Days of Christmas Cards - Card 6

Today's card I am embossing on vellum. This cute card is framed in with a Merry Christmas sentiment set off to the side.

My trial run card was done in Red embossing powder for the background, and the sentiment in silver embossing powder. For the tutorial, I changed it up, by using the silver embossing powder for the background and the no embossing on the sentiment. I am so happy with how it turned out.

As with the rest of the cards in my merry trimmings card series, this video was originally filmed for FACEBOOK LIVE. The quality is not perfect.

Oh man, oh man, I am just loving this challenge!

Today's card is super cute! I absolutely love how the stamp image peeks out from the rest of the card. I created an ombre effect with CTMH Exclusive inks, and made the bow match by coloring it with a simmer Brush!

Merry Trimmings 12 days of Christmas Cards - Card 2

Hey Crafty peeps, Hey!

I am just over here in my little corner, plugging along my cards. This challenge is proving to be eaiser than I thought it would be.
Without further ado, here is day two's card.

Todays card I will create a card using White pigment ink and white embossing powder. You will see that my sample care I used white pigment ink and clear embossing powder. This result showed that the white embossing powder is key to making the card pop.

My Stamp set of choice is the new Merry Trimmings, released by CTMH in August of 2018.
