H2H Challenge: Besties

So I am a day late and dollar short with this weeks post. It was supposed to go live MONDAY the 27th, not today the 30th.

Without further ado I give you the H2H challenge Besties that ends EEEK tomorrow the 31st!!!

Nothing screams Summer like spending time with your BESTIE and we are challenging you to show us what you got!
You have until May 31st 2019 to enter - Click here to link up up your Artwork! Remember, at least one item should be from Close to My Heart! :)

Supplies: The world is yours paper packet, May Stamp of the Month 'Besties' S1905, loose gold sequins, Black cardstock, white daisy cardstock, colored pencils, liquid glass, 3D foam squares.

Feature Paper Blog Hop| Sweet Girl

Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop! We will be showcasing items from our Sweet Girl Pack with various projects created by talented Close to my Heart Consultants. If you are visiting from Haley Dyer's blog then you are on the right track, Next check out Brittany Allred's blog.

My layout today is from the Make it From Your Heart vol. 4 pattern 12. The base page is the beautiful fern cardstock. You can see some tone on tone stamping along the center from the May Stamp of the Month - 'To My Bestie' Item# S1905. On the left-hand side you can where I have paper pieced the balloons from the Sweet Girl paper collection. I added a simple hand drawn boarder to the edge of the layout and around each journaling and photo matte. Once I add photos I will finish the bling and accents!

H2H Challenge| Minty Fresh

Here is my inspiration for you - I used the exclusive "The World Is Yours" paper collection to create this hiking/camping/exploring layout (super interpretive). In this collection you will find a beautiful shade of mint to work with! Check it out!

May Stamp of The Month| Best Friend Layout

To My Bestie....

We all have our bestie, my person, and I go back 20+ years! We met in 7th grade, and we were just like "YOU! I pick you to be my best friend for life" This page was inspired by our friendship, and I have the perfect pictures to add to this, one from highschool and one taken last summer!

Okay yadda, yadda, yadda down to the artwork, right!!!
Starting with the stamp set - this set has this beautiful image of two best friends, embracing each other. It's screams color me with the ShinHan markers and paper piece my outfit!!!  Check out the balloons and the bouquet of flowers, each are designed to fit in the girls hand! I LOVE that!  Ok scroll down to see what my take was on this!

Check out this super cute layout...at the end I will go over just how I created this!

Lets go over the supplies I used: 

• White Daisy cardstock
• Eggplant cardstock
• May Stamp of the Month
• ShinaHan Touch twin alcohol markers
• Black glitter paper
• Black shimmer brush
• Paper trimmer
• 3D foam squares
• Intense Black ink (Great for coloring - no bleed) 
• CTMH adhesive
• Dinner plate
• White Eraser

Now how to make this!

• Cut White Daisy to 11.75 x 11.75
• Adhere to 12x12 Eggplant cardstock.
• Using a dinner plate - eyeball center it on top of your white Daisy and lightly trace it. Using this as a guide stamp the flower cluster in intense black all the way around. Fill in the space between clusters with the single daisy image. 
• Using a WHITE eraser, remove your circle pencil mark....use a colored eraser, and you run the risk of transfering that color to your white daisy! just sayin'
• Using the following ShinHan colors - color in each set of flowers and leaves Carmin, Lavender, Golden Yellow, Cherry Pink, Cerulean Blue light, Tender Pink, Turquoise Blue, Leaf Green, Vivid Green. 
• Stamp 5 additional flower clusters, color and fussy cut set aside. 
• Stamp Best Friends image in intense black ink on a 3x3 white daisy cardstock. color with Cerulean blue light and Vivid Green for the shirts, Golden Yellow and Pastel Green for the blonde hair, Bronze, Clay and Mahogany for the brown hair. Use Pastel Peach, Barely Beige and a touch of Light orange for the skin. Stamp 'could not have asked for a better" in the upper left hand corner, and then 'FRIEND' over the image. Finish by drawing a doodle around the edges of the white daisy.
• Stamp bouquet of flowers and color as desired. 
• Splatter black shimmer paint from the shimmer brush by tapping it over the project.
• Cut 3 - 3.5x3.5 squares from Black Glitter paper adhere to the right side of the page. 
• Adhere the bestie image to the bottom glitter paper matte.
• Grab the 5 extra flower clusters, add 3D foam squares to the back, and place them every 2 flower cluster on top...
• Stamp best Friends at the bottom of the page.
