H2H Challenge| You Are My Sunshine

Welcome to the next Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog post!



This time we are focusing on the theme "You Are My Sunshine" Anything that makes you think of sunshine, and includes at least ONE CTMH item will qualify! So now that you know the details, take a look at my inspirational project, and hop on over to the H2H blog to see all the design teams inspiration.


Using cardstock, cut 1 inch strips and coordinating 2 and 1 inch circles. to create the flowers, make lots of little cuts around the circle. to create the leaves, cut 1 and 2 inch circles from sweet leaf cardstock, and then cut them in half using the circle thin cuts. The title was created using block inking with alcohol markers and rubbing alcohol! Super fun.

Pre-Cut Card Workshop| So Grateful for You!

A new precut card workshop is headed your way, and I must admit, it is super cute! 


There is a bit of a twist this kit. You'll get more than just pre-cut pieces and envelopes. You'll also receive a project to house your cards...



Each pre-cut will allow you to stamp and assemble 12 cards, 6 each of two designs, and one card folio to house your beautiful handmade cards in. CTMH Technique Blog Hop| Pocket Power


Welcome to the CTMH Technique Blog Hop! This Hop is on big circle, so make sure you visit all the pages for inspiration....If you have arrived here from Haley Dyer's blog, you are in the correct spot!

Pre-Cut Workshop| Into The Wild!!!!

I'm back with a new workshop!

I absolutely LOVE this pre-cut workshop, it has 5 layouts, flip flaps, compliments, and beautiful a blue, green, and grey color combo. I am not sure I would have picked this combo on my own! And the scraps I have left when I am done, is barley enough to make a card! Seriously, I am thinking maybe one card, and a creative one at that! But thats awesome, we love it when we use our stash, and move on to the next project, am I right!?!

H2H Challenge| woodwork

Hello - Welcome back to another Heart 2 Heart challenge.  

 This week we are challenging you to incorporate some wood grain or some of our cute new wooden shapes into your projects.

 Here is what I submitted for the Design Team inspiration: 






 I used the 'Into the Wild' Paper collection for this weeks inspiration!

It's Your Day to Sparkle| ShinHan Markers

ShinHan Alcohol markers 

By popular request, here are the details on how I colored my cake...scroll down for the video to see it 'live'. Let's take this step by step!

1. stamp your image in alcohol friendly ink, such as Intense Black from Close to My Heart.



2. Creating the shadow on the cake. Take your colorless blender to the Turquoise Blue Marker. You will pull color to the colorless blender. 




3. Following the shade lines of the stamp, flick your color on with the colorless blender. Continue to add color to achieve the color you desire.  




4. Colorin the flowers, leaves, and cake stand. Start with your lightest shade, then add your darkest shade over the shadow marked areas of the stamp set. Apply a second shade of color with your lightest color, to blend. Try a flicking motion when applying the second layer. 












5. Finish the image off with some Shimmer brushes, fussy cut, and adhere to your card base! 




This is the finished card! So simplistic and stunning!

SOTM| June It's Your Day to Sparkle

New Stamp Set!

A brand new stamp set has just been released for the month of June, and I absolutely love it! Appropriately named,'It's Your Day to Sparkle' this set of 39 images was so fun to play with!  



Here is my first take on this adorable stamp set.

The colors are so striking to me, and are from the CTMH ShinHan Line! They blend wonderfully together, and bring so much life to this image. To accent the beautiful coloring you can see (way better in person) the Sugarplum shimmer on the flowers, the Gold shimmer on the leaves, and the clear shimmer brush on the cake! The card was finished with some cute sparkles, and matted on an A2 size note card.

Purrfect| Mini Envelope Album

Hey! Welcome to my page! So glad you stopped by! 

 Today I ventured off course from my usual crafting. I am creating inventory for the new artist co-op I am a member of, and had a request for a mini album, preferably a pet one. After watching hours of YouTube, my inspiration and creative juices starting whirling around like a tornado.  I had oodles of this cat themed scrapbook paper (no idea where is came from) and knew that a DIY envelope mini album would be the 'purr-fect' project for it. 



How cute is this cover!?!?! The cat was super cute alone, but add some snazzy red glasses, and oh my word! 



I ended up with 12 pages with pockets! Here are a few of the finished pages from inside...

Each page has a pocket on the left to house photos and such. 




It was so much fun to dress up many of the pages with cricut cuts and photo mattes! 





I am so excited to add this to my artist co-op group. The finished size is approx 5 x 7 inches The ladies will just love it! I'd love to know which page is your favorite, so leave a comment below.
