Graduation Card

Hi Crafty people!

So on Pinterest, there are a plethora of ideas for graduation cards. One happens to be this cap idea.

I grabbed my supplies and got started:
Card Stock
Stamps
Ink
Score pal
bone folder
adhesive

I followed this tutorial Grads & Dads

And here is my card....bad lighting so please for give me.

For the Tassel i used CTMH Extra thick twine. I un-twisted it, to make it thin enough to act as a tassel.

The Bottom portion acts as a pocket for a gift card or other monetary gift.

Scraptastic Cards.

Hello!

Man have been on a blog go get 'em or what?!?!

So I put together my Blush Workshop on the Go... 6 pages by adding in some cardstock I had on hand.... So beautiful....did i take pictures for you all to see...um negative. But I did just replicate the exact layouts in the workshop so here is what they look similar to.

Man oh man did i have lots of scraps left over. I hate to see those papers go to waste....so I created simple Card bases.

Add some twine, washi tape and these are ready for ANY sentiment...

Circle punches on smaller scrap pieces add dimension quickly.

Banners/dove tails make great use of scraps

As you can see here is one I turned into a mothers day card.

Thanks for looking

Happy Scrapping.

Artbooking and Design Space....

Hello  Crafty People!

Back in November my beloved Cricut Expression died. I have been hew-hawing around since then, do I get a used Expression, or buy the New Cricut Explore?

Well My Husband must have just heard enough of the pros and cons, and for Mother's Day I received the new Explore Air.

It was immediately set up, an account created in design space, cricut cartridges linked, and my tutorial project cut out.

Now What? I on earth do I use this? I had never, ever, ever, ever used software before with my old expression. So, what's this welding, and layers, what layers....where's my shift Key?

Off to you tube to find out how this new machine and I would become best friends.

One of the best tutorials I found was on Obsessed with Scrapbooking! This works especially well if you have any of the CTMH cartridges, like Artbooking.

And Whola - here is my very simple, very easy first Explore project using Design Space and the Artbooking Cartridge.

TEAMWEORK LAYOUT:
The only thing I changed, was the Height to 11in so it cut to the correct proportions.

I am in Love with the explore and design space. Try it today.

Creative Challenge

Hey Crafty People,

So CTMH has posted it's weekly challenge, From now until Sunday 5/24/15 you are challenged to post your creation using your favorite product under $6.! Can you you do it? Will you do it?
I love Washi Tape...we have several options of washi tape that is under $6.00
I have over 20 thank you cards I need to make up from my daughters baptism...so i created these super quick cards.

I grabbed some Kraft paper, and ran it through my cuttlebug in our woodgrain embossing folder.
Then using our 1in circle punch I punched out my circles. I also punched out 1in circles in white daisy. Using Sweet leaf ink and the Thank you stamp from say anything, I stamped Thank you three times. I prefer my white pieces to have a boarder of some sort, so I distressed the white daisy circle with sweet leaf ink. Using a pop dot i adhered this off center to the woodgrain circle.

I randomly placed three strips of washi tape vertically, then horizontally.

To complete this card I  added three gold sequins.

I like simple cards that are easy, and cute. Here is my completed #jrlcreativechallenge card!

Check out my other washi tape card using the Herringbone Technique from Herringbone Card gone Washi.

Father's Day Gift idea....

I was racking my brain on what to get my father for father's day - he has absolutly everything, if he doesn't have, off to the store to get it, or the materials to make it.

Who doesn't have a dad like that?

Then CTMH Posted this awesome video and a light bulb went off... and their advise of  "Give the gift of shared moments" was right one.

I rushed out and ordered the For Him book. I have some any Father daughter pictures to share in this book. I know he will love it.

The For Him and For Her My Crush™ books are a fantastic way to tell someone how much you cherish them.

Take a look at this video for a few great ideas about how to use these unique books.

Taste of Summer...

Oh, My. I really have been busy... i mean really, really busy...

For the last 12 weeks or so, I have been enjoying my new baby. We had a sweet baby girl and she is just absolutly perfect.
While enjoying my maternity leave, I also had the pleasure of potty training our two year old. I think, I'd reather give birth again, no seriously. :)

So now that we are getting into a groove, its back to my first love, scrapbooking, card making, and hoarding all things related...you should see my paper collection. Speaking of paper collection - on to the reason for this new blog post. We have an AWESOME, promoational paper pack called Taste of Summer.

The Taste of Summer paper packet and stamp set are here to help you celebrate the greatest season on earth. It will be available only during May, but we guarantee you’ll be using it all summer long because it’s downright delicious. It’s time to pull out your summertime photos! The juicy fruits of these papers go together like berries and cream with your summer-themed snapshots.
I

Bonus - there is a matching stamp set:

have started working on my packet - using the 12 double sided cardstock, plus 16 white daisy pieces, some beautiful black, green and pink glitter paper, I will be able to make 6 2 page layouts, and a handful of cards....Here is what I have started - i still need to add embelishments and stamping...

Holds 4 3.75 x 5.75 photos and 4 3x4 photos :)

I added a little doodle around the photo mat to give it some character.

Setting these photo mats or Journaling mats at an angle gives this layout a little spice.

These are pretty enough as is, but i know some shimmer trim and stamped images will take these over the top! :)

*** EDIT 5/31/15***

I have to add - that I also created these card sets with my scraps.....

Here you can see that awesome stamp set.
I adhered my scrap pieces in random order to Kraft card stock. then ran that 5x7 piece through my cuttlebug embossing machine. The added dimension CTMH's embossing folders give these cards the just the right punch. I adhered the 5x7 Kraft to a white daisy card stock cut to 7 x 10 (folded in half to create a 5x7 card). I use Autumn terracotta ink, Honey ink, and olive ink. I added Bronze shimmer trim, and little bits of rhinestones etc to give a few added pops. :)

To order your Taste of summer paper pack and or stamp set visit my website: http://danyellwagner.ctmh.com/

The paper pack is available for $8.95
The Stamp set is available for $17.95
